Our ancestors understood that our blood was one of the most precious substances in our bodies. The liquid highway of life, the nourisher of our tissues, the healer of wounds, messenger of oxygen, bringer of beauty and the carrier of family lineage. Poetry, art, music and even faiths have featured blood for these reasons. In this class we will discuss herbal medicine’s long history of successfully caring for the health of our blood. In this first class we will cover formulations that enrich the blood. In the following workshop we will feature formulations that clean and circulate the blood. In the final workshop we will feature formulations that care for the bones and thus the blood. Blood cells are primarily born in the bones.
